2025 Responsible Battery Energy Storage Summit

NJM Design Joins Industry Leaders at 2025 Responsible Battery Energy Storage Summit. We had the privilege of presenting at the 2025 Responsible Battery Energy Storage Development Summit hosted by Enhar as part of the Smart Energy Council Expo in Sydney. As the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sector rapidly expands to support renewable energy integration, enhance grid reliability, and reduce carbon emissions, it is bringing growing responsibilities around safety, sustainability, and community impact. The conference addressed these considerations by gathering industry professionals including BESS manufacturers, fire engineers, fire brigades, planning departments and community representatives to explore the best practices for existing and future BESS developments. Our senior fire safety engineer Javier Piedrahita provided insights on how to reduce the risk of battery fires in these systems and outlined effective emergency response planning. Javier’s presentation was a great success and further demonstrates NJM Design’s commitment to supporting the global transition to renewable energy through projects such as BESS, photovoltaics and wind farms.
