Former Nighthawk Andrews Opata Signs With Boston Red Sox

University of North Georgia (UNG) baseball junior center fielder Andrews Opata has signed a deal as an undrafted free agent with the Boston Red Sox. Opata signed with the Red Sox after the conclusion of the 2025 MLB Draft on Monday. He joins one of the most storied franchises in major league history after an outstanding junior season in Dahlonega.
