Running Restraint, John Ruskin Prize Exhibition

'Restraint/Running' is a series of performances to the camera using a long elastic band attached to the body and part of the landscape; the works began in 2012, running back and forth repetitively, stretching and exhausting the material until it breaks. Referencing Matthew Barney's 'artist as athlete' the conditioning body was explored through the female form.
